She is a firm believer that creating passionate customer advocates is the most effective driver of enduring profitable growth.    Kristen is best known for her work as Marketing VP for Mazda North America, where she led the "Zoom-Zoom" brand positioning, product strategy and well-recognized advertising campaign credited for the brand's successful turnaround. These efforts spurred a 50% increase in Mazda’s U.S. market share, and Brandweek named her one of ten “Marketers of the Next Generation.”  At Mazda, she brought together all of the company’s points of interaction with customers into one cohesive team—from parts and service communications to the customer service call center—a ground-breaking move, completed a decade before social media began forcing similar reorganizations today.   Kristen is the former owner of LiveSmart Security, a boutique provider of home security services founded to enable today’s tech-savvy families and small businesses to not only live safe—but to Live Smart—every single day. Using technology and data to drive an enhanced level of customer service, LiveSmart fostered top-notch customer service, driving loyalty and referrals. Simmons also served as Chief Marketing Officer for Young & Rubicam Brands Southern California, a prominent advertising agency, and as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Gateway before choosing to exit the corporate world for more entrepreneurial ventures.   Kristen has an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  She lives in Orange County, California with her husband, two highly imaginative young girls, and two far-too-friendly dogs.
