| Greg Hurst Job Title: Central Station Manager Company Name: Monitronics International, Inc. Speaker Bio Greg Hurst entered the Alarm Industry in 1991 as a Central Station Operator. He climbed into the supervisory levels of monitoring and then went off into operations and later joined the management teams within the account creation and technical support departments. Several name changes and mergers later, this alarm company became known as Protection One and Greg found himself looking for work when they closed the Texas central station. Greg followed his childhood dream and finished his college degree in Criminal Justice while working as a 911 operator/dispatcher, and later became a police officer. After a stint on the streets, he realized that it was a far cry from working in the "call center" environment and went back into the 911 center as part of the management team. Greg missed the team building opportunities with larger groups of employees and sought work with Monitronics in 2006 and was hired as the Central Station Manager. He is very happy to be back with some of his old friends from the early days in the alarm industry. Greg has been married for 17 years and has three children. He enjoys fishing and tinkering with old guitars and claims to have kicked the eBay addiction of buying old guitars. |
