New Jersey Recognizes ESX Seminars for Continuing Education Credits

New Jersey security integration companies can fulfill CE requirements for licensing renewal by attending sessions at industry-owned event in Baltimore this June.

May 12, 2009 --The State of New Jersey has recognized 74-seminars and two long-form workshops at the 2009 Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Baltimore, MD for continuing education (CE). Each accredited ESX seminar carries 1.25 CE credits and two half-day, pre-conference workshops each carry 3.5 CE credit. In total, the ESX education program offers the opportunity for NJ licensees to earn up 16 hours of CE credit for attendance Mon. afternoon, June 22 through Thu. morning, June 25. New Jersey’s triennial renewal period concludes Aug. 31, 2010, and licensees are required to complete 36 CE credits by the deadline to qualify for license renewal.

“We’re excited to see New Jersey CE credits for ESX education,” said Chris Mack, president of the New Jersey Burglar & Fire Alarm Association. “The ESX seminar program offers the most comprehensive and focused conference program for integration and monitoring companies, covering all management disciplines and key technical topics. There’s something for everyone on the team, and now a way to simultaneously take care of a license renewal obligations.”

ESX’s Baltimore, MD location is an easy drive or train ride for most of New Jersey. Distances and drive times from New Jersey population centers:
Camden – 100 miles, 2 hrs.
Trenton – 130 miles, 2.3 hrs.
Atlantic City – 140 miles, 2.5 hrs.
Newark – 180 miles, 3 hrs.
Mahwah – 205 miles, 3.5 hrs.
