Introducing the NexTech Zone at ESX

By  Jason Unger
I  November 01, 2011

As the security industry evolves, so too does ESX.

At the 2012 event (June 25-29, Nashville, TN), ESX will launch the brand new NexTech Zone – an exhibit area within the show floor dedicated to displaying new technologies increasingly used by security integration companies.

Automation, networking and A/V products are being integrated into more and more residential and light commercial installations by security companies, and in the NexTech Zone, a projected 25 companies will display their wares in this emerging category.

According to the ESA Residential Trends Survey fielded in May 2011, ESA members expect 145% growth in residential installation of home automation systems and 71% growth for remote/mobile control by 2013.

Companies like ADT (with their Pulse system) and Vivint (formerly APX Alarm) are leading the way with new home automation offerings, and the NexTech Zone gives security integration companies the chance to find new opportunities to increase their business.

“In today’s marketplace, security integration companies have a huge opportunity to promote innovative products and services that resonate with end users, from automation controls to interactive services and more.  As companies embrace newer technologies and go-to-market strategies, they will experience significant growth in their market share and profits,” says George De Marco, ESX Chair, whose former company, Greater Alarm, integrated security, automation and A/V systems.

“The NexTech Zone is an educational resource for traditional security companies to learn about new technologies and services that deliver intelligent solutions for end users, and we’re excited to launch it at ESX 2012.”

ESX will also offer a mini-track of NexTech seminars focused on the business opportunities available with these new technologies, including recurring revenue models for automation, networking and A/V.

Companies interested in sponsoring the NexTech Zone can receive a 25% savings by booking before December 31. Contact Jessica DaCosta, jdacosta@ae-ventures.com or 508-618-4226, to ensure your participation.

ESX will cover a host of topics in its leading education program. Its networking events will inspire and motivate your staff and its exhibitors will display cutting-edge technologies and services on the expo floor. Register your team for Deluxe Passes and get access to it all.
