ESA Eye Opener Breakfast Highlights Spectrum of Experience

By  JIllian Bateman
I  March 14, 2012
A diverse range of experience and skill sets will be brought to the ESX stage as Security Systems News (SSN) celebrates collaborative innovation during the ESA Eye Opener Breakfast, sponsored by ESA's Young Security Professionals (YSP) Group.

The breakfast, held on Tuesday, June 26 at 9:00 a.m., will include an awards ceremony, along with a panel presentation.

"We are very excited to be joining the YSP group to honor our 20 Under 40 Class of 2012," says Tim Purpura, publisher of SSN. "It will be the leadership of this next generation that will continue the legacy of strength, determination and innovation that made the industry what it is today."

The awards ceremony will recognize the fresh generational prospective these winners bring to the industry.

Now in its sixth year, the SSN 20 Under 40 winners have truly proven to be industry leaders, and many of the most successful of these winners have something in common.

"The most remarkable 20 Under 40 winners have attributed a mentor to their success," says Martha Entwistle, editor of SSN.

So, for the first time ever, SSN will also be naming a handful of mentors of the young and up-coming winners—the people responsible for guiding these honorees' futures. The mentors will be chosen by SSN editors as a result of their interviews with the winners.

During the breakfast, Entwistle will moderate a panel of a current 20 Under 40 winner, a 20 Under 40 alum and a mentor.

Think of how some of the best ideas are sparked. Most of the time it's when industry newcomers bring a fresh skill set to the table and combine it with the knowledge and experience of a veteran. It's what makes the security industry so dynamic.

Experience the power of this spectrum by registering for the ESA Eye Opener Breakfast today.
