Bring the Team!
“Bring the Team” is the rallying cry for ESX. Why?
1. First, we’ve designed a conference and special events program that will provide awesome take-away value for the entire team. Owners and top execs, technical/ops managers and their senior staff, central station managers and senior operators, sales and marketing managers, and others will all find a critical mass of compelling conference content for their specialty at ESX. And the ESX expo floor is a treasure trove of ideas, resources and, of course, new products that the entire team can gain from.
2. Second, consider how the team approach increases total learning. When a team from your company makes a fact- and idea-finding trip together, every individual learns more. One reason is peer pressure--because team members count on each other to collect various pieces of information and advice and share it with the group, learning objectives become real, personal and important. There is also the benefit of having colleagues to test information and ideas against and get context. This helps each individual absorb more information and know how to apply it to the company’s challenges and opportunities.
3. Third, think about how your team members will bond and team dynamics will improve. An experience like this, outside of the office with a real mission to learn and grow, with travel and fun time together and blending with industry peers, can be an incredible boost to your team’s esprit de corps. Team members learn new things about each other, discover new strengths and knowledge they can exploit. If done right, it can simply be inspirational.
