Tim Creenan is CEO of Amherst Alarm, Inc., based in Amherst, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, was founded in 1984 by Tim and his wife Maryann. The company monitors over 33,000 accounts in its UL Central Station and is supported by a staff of over 65.
Tim started in the electronic security in 1975 working for a large, local security firm. He performed various jobs including central station dispatcher, installer, and service technician. He has a degree in Electrical Technology from Erie Community College, graduating in 1980 and in Electronic Engineering at the State University College at Buffalo in 1982.
Tim’s involvement in the industry associations began with the Western New York Electronic Security Association,where he served as Secretary, President and Past President. He has also served Chartered Chapter State association, the New York State Electronic Security Association, as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President. Currently Past President and Chairing Legislative Committee and leading the association’s efforts in reforming the enforcement of NYS alarm installer license. On the national level, served as chairman of the Election Committee for Electronic Security Association, and member of the Government Relations Committee, Governance Task Force and Board of Directors.
Tim’s focus on reducing false alarms has led to Amherst Alarm’s certification and involvement in the Installation Quality (IQ) Board program, where he served as Treasurer, Chairperson and is currently Past Chairperson.
As CEO of Electric Guard Dog, LLC, Jack was a 2016 Finalist for Ernst & Young's coveted Entrepreneur of the Year and Electric Guard Dog was named the 2016 winner for SDM's Dealer of the Year. A native New Yorker, Jack is a graduate of Harvard Business School, and an accomplished executive with experience in a variety of industries worldwide. With a personal motto of "Never Give Up" that might be arguably followed by "No Half Measures," Jack has served as President of Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company's Automotive Division, Desoutter LTD, and C.C. Dickson Company. His accomplishments at the latter led to him being named "Man of the Year" by an renowned industry trade publication in 2006. Jack joined Electric Guard Dog in 2007, and promptly led the effort to build a platform for growth that has resulted in the company being named to the Inc. 5000 list 5 out of the last six years as well as repeat appearances on industry accolades, including the SDM 100, SD&I's Fast 50 Integrationists, and South Carolina's List of Best Places to Work. Jack has a permanent home in Charlotte, NC with his wife. He is an avid participant in endurance sports and is an instructor for the Harvard Business School Club of Charlotte's Management Development Program.
John Loud, originally hailing from Boston, has embraced the spirit of Southern hospitality in all aspects of his personal and professional life. John has worn many hats in his career: hockey player, comedy club manager, Delta flight attendant, political campaign worker, community volunteer and entrepreneur.
John’s primary focus since 1995 has been the establishment and growth of LOUD Security. From its humble beginnings in the basement of the Loud home, LOUD Security now employs over 60 people and services 8,500 customers. Most recently, John’s outstanding leadership resulted in the Kennesaw Citizen of the Year Award and the Mack Henderson Public Service Award for his commitment and dedication to the quality of life for the citizens of Cobb County.
Not only has John used his talent of integrating today’s technology with old fashioned service to his current business, he has lent his talents to professional and community organizations across the state of Georgia. From President of the Kennesaw Business Association, President of the Georgia Electronic Life Safety and Security Association, cooperating with local police departments to promote Georgia legislation that would increase life safety to his customers; John has been, and continues to be, an avid champion for the security industry.
