Robert Owens, international speaker and leadership development coach will address attendees during
this breakfast, presented by ESA's YSPs.
The former Special Ops team leader will discuss the skills required to lead and to be a positive influence. Owens is a former United States Air Force serviceman and team leader with the elite Special Ops unit known as “Pararescue” or “PJ’s.” His experience has taught him a lot about leadership, determination and hard work. Having completed eight Ironman Triathlons in four countries, Owens is one of only two remaining Ironmen who finished in both the original Ironman courses in Honolulu and Kona Hawaii.
He has lectured on leadership development in more than 30 countries, including speaking to South African Parliament leaders in Cape Town, Navy SEAL trainees and officers in California, and the underdog New York Jets in the 2010 NFL Playoffs.
“We’re thrilled to have Robert share his knowledge of leadership with us at the ESA Eye-Opener Breakfast,” says Brandon Savage, chair of ESA’s Young Security Professionals (YSPs). “Each year, we look forward to hearing from speakers who can help us grow and develop our skills.”
In addition to being a speaker and Ironman, Owens provides mediation and crisis coaching.
